I intend to take these courses:     PHYS 632 (4 credits) and PHYS 636 (3 credits)

All participants must register to take the courses for credit. For those taking both courses there is likely to be some financial support available; we anticipate that there may be on the order of $1000 for stipend and housing support, depending on the number of participants. We will decide, based on those candidates whose applications we receive by June 2, 2008 , what the level of support is. It is expected that each participant will strive to obtain support from your local school division or other source.

I would like to attend the 2008 Professional Development Workshop in Physics at UVa. I understand that I will be required to present an in-service activity somewhere before December 3, 2008. If I live in Virginia, I will try to attend the follow-up session at the Virginia Association of Science Teachers (VAST) Professional development Institute (PDI) at the Hampton Roads Convention Center, November 13-15, 2008. It is expected that your school division will financially support your attendance at the VAST meeting.
